Knox 4yo kinder sessions

The Knox City Council will fund up to two sessions per eligible kinder or ELC*. Centres can self-fund additional sessions. Funding is limited and completing an Expression of Interest does not guarantee a funded incursion.
*To qualify for two funded sessions, sessions must be delivered on a single day to separate 4yo groups to be eligible.

All our programs are designed around VEYLD Framework in with a focus on science and geography, with elements of wellbeing and civic/social responsibility.
Session length is 45-60 minutes per session – it adapts to the group. The sessions are divided into ‘chunks’ of movement and hands-on activity, stories and music.
These sessions are for 4yo kinder only (year before primary school). If you have a 3yo group, you can self-fund sessions to run at a reduced rate while we are already on site.

Bin Bingo: Recycle Right Adventure!
Where does our rubbish go — and which bin does it belong in? Join us on a colourful bin-venture as we follow the journey of waste after it leaves the bin! Children meet each bin, learn what belongs inside, and play fun sorting games to become recycling champions. Along the way, we explore how to reduce waste and why some things get a brand-new life! Includes interactive storytelling, movement games, and hands-on sorting fun!

Wonderful worms
Come on an adventure with Wiggles the worm and learn about what you can compost through worm farming, using songs, dance, interactive puppet activity and holding real live worms. Learn how worms recycle food scraps into precious material to help the planet.

By booking our sessions, your school/kinder accepts these terms and conditions in full; accordingly, if you disagree or do not meet these terms and conditions, you may not be able to book in the council-funded sessions.

Age group
4YO kinder programs: ELC/Kindergarten incursions are designed for 4yo kinder only and should strictly be delivered to 4-year-old kindergarten. They are not suitable for 2-3 year old groups.
Maximum students per session
A maximum of 25 students per session are allowed.
Kinder/ELC staff expectations
School and/or kinder staff are expected to manage students attending the incursion. If there are insufficient staff onsite to manage students, staff to notify Chooktopia about staff shortage 2 days prior to discuss student management options with Chooktopia.
Management of high-needs and/or highly disruptive students
Staff to notify Chooktopia on booking, about effective classroom management strategies if there are a number of high-needs or disruptive students, so as to not detract from the session delivery for the broader group. We will discuss best ways of engaging disruptive students or alternatively staff responsibilities in distraction and engagement away from the group, as best suited to the individual child.
